Like one that was in a dark cave had a translucent look to it. I truly loved, for instance, how they made the puffer bird, the chicken of the game, have minor changes depending on the environment around it. Although I was not able to clear all areas and complete the game while doing this review, the ones I traversed kept me wanting to play and discover more. Well, one world, but the sentiment is precisely the same.Įvery area was unique in its appearance and appeal. I honestly did feel like I was on some fantastical adventure in space fighting aliens and discovering new worlds. The environmental features to me are insane how they made it feel like an alien world. I loved all the graphical detail the devs put into the game down to the oddities of the lifeforms you encounter. The environment begs to be taken a look at in all its grandeur and be fully explored bit by bit. Honestly, I would not have found it if I had not been exploring instead of heading directly along the main quest. For instance, take the door mentioned above, I spoke of finding. The planet was supposed to have been entirely undeveloped, but when you arrive it you find structures that were missed in initial scans of the planet. That is the core of the story but not the entire truth of it. Your job is to explore, catalog, and survive everything you encounter on the planet your sent to for the betterment of humanity. That’s where you come in as a volunteer at the Kindred Pioneer program. It all starts with a dream of a CEO named Martian Tweed to move Kindred Aerospace from space exploration to settlement. It honestly seems like a beautiful marriage of Borderlands and No Man’s Sky, and they gave birth to Metroid.Įnough chitchat, though, and let’s get into the story for Journey to the Savage Planet. The whole shebang was crafted wonderfully down to even the weird videos they have for you. I loved every moment of the game while I was playing except for the one time I could not find my body after one of my many deaths because it was saying it was in the ground or something. #JOURNEY TO THE SAVAGE PLANET SWITCH REVIEW CRACK#It is Typhoon’s first game, and I have to say they hit it all over and out of the park with a satisfying crack of the bat.
